Overview Listenote (“we,” “our,” or “us”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the Listenote iOS app.
Information We Collect Audio Recordings When you use Listenote to record a meeting, your audio is captured on your device and transmitted to third-party AI services for transcription and summarization. Audio files are processed and then deleted from our servers. We do not store your raw audio recordings.
Meeting Notes The transcripts, summaries, action items, and meeting notes generated from your recordings are stored in our database (Supabase) and synced to your account so you can access them across sessions.
Account Information We use Sign in with Apple for authentication. We receive only the information Apple provides — typically a unique user identifier and, optionally, your name and email address. We do not have access to your Apple ID password.
How We Use Your Information Audio recordings are sent to OpenAI’s Whisper API for transcription and to OpenAI’s GPT-4o for summarization. Audio is not retained after processing. Meeting notes and transcripts are stored securely in our database tied to your account so your notes persist across sessions and devices. Account data is used solely to authenticate you and associate your notes with your account. We do not sell your data. We do not use your data for advertising.

Data Storage and Security Your meeting notes are stored on Supabase servers located in the United States. Data is transmitted over encrypted HTTPS connections. We do not share your meeting content with any third parties beyond what is necessary to provide transcription and summarization services.
Data Retention Audio files are deleted immediately after transcription is complete. Meeting notes are retained as long as your account is active. You can delete individual notes at any time within the app. If you sign out of the app, your notes remain stored and will be available when you sign back in.
Your Rights You have the right to:
Access your data — all your notes are visible within the app at any time Delete your data — you can delete individual notes within the app Request account deletion — contact us at the support email below and we will delete all data associated with your account within 30 days
Children’s Privacy Listenote is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes to This Policy We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
